You"ll want to search (Google and the archives here) for Jacob Love, Love tractors, and David/Dave Friday and Friday tractors. Dave was Jacob"s son-in-law (?); they worked together for awhile(?) until Dave set up himself(?) (reports differ; mislaid my notes). Both built variations of the original 6cyl Chrysler Cptn running gear CO-OP, one or the other (or both) adding a 2-spd rear for more speed. (The straight 8 models were apparently built by Custom). Both apparently also built/assembled other units, such as your forklift, with other power trains; fascinating history.

While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics. I find the whole process sheer mystery.
