I have a 1951 CA. When I bought it , the gen did not charge . I had it rebuilt and put a new cut-out relay on it. It lasted about an hour. I took it back to the gen shop. They kept it about a month. The gen repairman told me the generator was made for a regulator. I put a regulator on it and it lasted about an hour. I bought a new generator. It lasted about an hour. I have not found anybody who knows exactly what generator that it takes or wheather the generator I have needs a regulator or a cut-out. I have been using the crank on it for a couple of years.
