9x19 is metric standard terms for what is often sold in US marked 9mm luger, sometimes marked 9mm Parabellum- same basic cartridge but US SAAMI specs for 9Luger are lower pressure than NATO spec 9mm Parabellum/9x19 which is often found as "surplus" 9mm Luger basic .355 bullet weighing 125 grains as a round nose traveling about 1050 FPS- bare subsonic speed. NATO spec has a 116 gtain bullet sort of truncated cone semi round nose moving 1200+fps- supersonic bullet with a crack on firing. 100 grain bullet exist- old Illinois State police load at 1400fps meant to penetrate car doors. These basic ball/full metal jackets. Lead round nose exist for Luger load at SAAMI spec, Lead nose and hollow points for the NATO spec pressure popular. Super Vel load was a 100 grain hollow point, 147 grain variations at bare subsonic speed with hollow points and exposed lead, segmented jackets/rapid expansion under couple names- Black Talon was among first. Main other 9mm cartridge to worry about is old 9mm Bergman adopted by Spanish as 9mm Largo- Star and Llama pistols were imported in that size as 9x23, some with dual chambering for .38 Colt Super. Astra 400 also chamber for the 9 Largo and they were sold surplus in US. South American market pistols for police and civilians often chambered for it, some of those pistols ended up in US. Short cartidges include old 9x18 browning, 9mm Kurz with the .355 bullet and as mentioned the Soviet Markov 9x18 with .364 bullet- same size as 38 S&W, British 38 Enfield revolver bullet. RN

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
