I was going to blame today's problem on Alan, but after a great deal of reflection, he wasn't here. He was home banging his fingers together, struming on his GEET TAR. Now I went to hook up the heater hoses on the 706,Got it going ok but then one of the shut off valves Leaked. NO it wasnt because I didn't use sealer on the valve,It was the da#%@ valve , Cracked inside the thread pattern Both sides, (China Valves). Got that fixed ,Now the heater core Leaks some where, Gonna fix that tomorrow when it rains. Got to un bolt, un-solder it And try try again. My son asked me if the new valve was opened . Yep I said. Still no heat. Well It sure as He@@@ wasn;t. DUMB DUMB DUMB. He opened the valve ,sure enough Heat (Ever so slight) bet the previous owner didn't put in a thermostat after he put in a new Radiator. Now it's disassembly all over again to do the deed. The books doesn't give a hint to the thermostat temp in a 263 gas. Would ask Alan, but I know he is busy learning new chords on his GEET TAR :). Any way, I guess I'll just muddle through it come heck or High water, Rain in the forcast tomorrow. Mabey sat. WHO KNOWS?? LOU
