Went to Portersville Pa steam show saw a very interesting IH tractor, looked smaller than the original Cub, I would call it a compact tractor.
It had on the side of the hood a sign that read Plant Motor. owner wasn't there to give any other information I never knew they made one so small.
Although all tractors were very interesting The one that is in my mind as the most fascinating was a large Steam engine with a very different operator.
This young Lady was probably in her early 70's may have weighed 120 # wet, and she could handle this behemoth with out a problem. saw her hook up to the thrashing machine, then later to the stationary baler. Just guessing as no man was around, we could only speculate, she may have been keeping her husbands dreams alive after his passing.
I only feel bad that I missed the steam tractor pulls that was going to be too late for me because of the distance of travel.
