likely an electrical problem, [all JCBs have them!] take the cover off the steering colum and start tracing wires, see if you can find the solinoids "jump" the solinoids to see if you can get fwd/rev that way. On the 214 I ran for the last decade, we always had to open the fuse panel beside the seat and jiggle all the relays in there or seldom anything would work. One day it woudn't start, next day wouldn't move, later that day no loader etc. It was always something. a 214 is a wheeled loader/backhoe combo. GOOD LUCK your going to need it :-(
