Been there, done that. Had a GREAT appaloosa gelding that developed heart condition.Wife and vet treated it at home, finally took him to high dollar horse hospital in LExington. I'm up front with 'em: let me know and if its more or less hopeless I'll have you put him down here, save me money, tears and a hole. Oh, no no no...we are optomistic. 5 days and 2800 later, come get him, he'll survive but no more riding. We bring him home, love on him a bit, and ...2 days later he's dead in the feild. So...now I having crying girls AND i get to dig a big ol' hole PLUS I'm out over 3k (lexington plus local vet) for a good ol' horse that I really knew in my heart I shouldhave put down 3 weeks before! On the positive side: we won at the worlds with a 6 year old that got in a kicking match the day back from oklahoma and was 3 legged lameby the end of the week. A 2100 vet bill saved him, and he gave us 7 more youth world titles- so sometimes I guess its all worth it. Ya end up loving the things like family, so what can ya do?

After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet).
