Around here, in the Youngstown, Ohio area, sticking your hand out the window is a signal that you want to stop in the middle of the road. Then you can talk, make a drug deal, or do both!
I still have a turn signal set that I made up two 8" school bus turn indicators on mag mounts. Just throw them on whatever tractor's going on the road and haven't had a problem yet (knock on wood)
