I'll be 61 this Sunday, the 16th. The "rockers" among us will recall that the Woodstock rock festival was 40 years ago, Aug. 15 and 16, 1969. I celebrated my 21st birthday in my 6th week of Army basic training at Fort Lewis, Washington. Spent the day driving the bus taking the troops over to the Visitor's Center, got a sub to take a couple of my trips so I could have a little birthday party with my folks and sister. Sisters weren't allowed, so sis turned over her class ring and posed as my wife. The XO later congratulated me on my restraint- "Most of the couples are trying to consume each other's tonsils, but you just hugged." Also, he commented on the phenomenon of how married couples started looking like each other.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
