Back about 1990 ostriches were the next get rich quick, no one has to raise tobacco, this is going to get every one out of debt, fad around here. There was a family on the other side of the county that spent a bunch of money buy'n 20 of so pairs and they tried to sell every one they knew the offspring because they were all going to get rich. They went around the all the local fairs and gettogethers cooking ostrich. I thought it was about like a hamberger made from half beef/half turkey. I guess thats the only time I have had any of it.
