I would 4 sure know that the leak was around the rear seal 4 I spent the time chasing a rear seal
I spec the first thing I would check is the operation of the PCV system and crank case blow by,,,, if it has excessive blow by then replacing rear seal mite just b a waist of time.
Yes the oil cooler lines and the adapter o-ring leak,,, just happen to own a 94 with a well used 350,,, gonna run"er till she blows,,, just like I stole it long as I can afford to feel it,,, she sure likes GAS
To answer yer question yes it can B expensive,,, if it has excessive blow by then the engine is well worn
