I bought a 1941 9N from a local guy (deputy sheriff) for what I consider a reasonable price. I didn’t buy it because I needed it but I wanted a tractor that was built the year I was born. The point being that he told me everything worked on it but, the truth is nothing worked. Due to the price and my desire to have it I would have purchased it if it hadn’t been running but it starts and runs good only nothing works. He claimed to have gotten a wiring diagram and rewired it but it is completely wrong. Doesn’t charge nor does amp gage work. Temper indicator doesn’t work. Hydraulics don’t work. These are all easily fixed items that I would have gone through anyway but, my question is “how/why do people find it in themselves to lie when the truth wouldn’t make a difference? His wife and kids were there listening and it makes me wonder how they must view him and the way they should deal with other people.
