Went to the American Thresherman Association show this weekend and was shocked at the near misses there. Thursday someone was teaching a young woman how to drive a tractor and she almost ran over 6 people. Guy teaching her kept yelling to push in the clutch. She had never operated anything with a clutch before. Friday they were lining a steam engine for on the dyno when someone on a golf cart hit the guy directing the steam engine operator to get it lined up straight. Saturday someone drove a tractor into the small steam engine train that they give rides on while it was in operation. Sunday someone almost flipped a tractor loading it because they were talking and missed a ramp. This is a large show with 10-12 full size steam engines and over 1000 tractors and equipment. This was their 50th anniversary show.
