Some of the spammers now have software that "makes up" e-mail names. I have looked at the mail headers on some of the crap that I get. What I see will be every permutation of silverxxx@msn.com. They must get a lot of the stuff back as undeliverable, but who cares? They can generate millions of possible combinations and send to various ISPs. This does'nt even take alot of computing power, just several fast internet connections. But if they only get responses from one out of every 10,000 messages, its worth their effort. One of their latest tricks is to change their return address constantly, which makes it harder for filtering software to screen them out. So there is no end in sight for all this crap. John
