What they said about the 8' wide door. You also don't want a 16 foot wude door for 2 vehicles. Still have to park them so close together that you can't hardly get out of the driver's door on the right side vehicle. Owning an expedition and f150 pu(all 4wd), we've had to cut the end of the antennas off and raise the door and door opener to allow it to open to full height to clear a 7' tall residential garage door. When you pull into the building and your mirror has just cleared the door, you still need 2 or 3 feet of space to open the door unless you are the thin man. Good luck. And as you said in your post, you wanted to make it "easier" to pull your pickup in so don't scrimp on the width. And make sure you have at least 24 plus feet to pull the pickup in.
