Just all summer long... Weather, and job commitments have really made a mess of my hay, oat harvest. Worst hay I"ve put up in years, and having trouble with baler. Oat harvest looked absolutely beautiful, until I got weather problems. We bind and shock our oats like the Amish, and then take them to a local steam show for thrashing. Now have 6 wagon loads in barns, or under tarps waiting for next weekend... Unfortunately rain messed up quite a bit of the crop, wet straw, moldy and sprouting oats. Will be a tough job for thrashmaster! Thanks to a couple friends from the steam show, we got them under cover at all!
