I had a throttle cable break on a pickup one time at night in the middle of Raleigh. I had a piece of old telephone wire and I ran it through a hole in the firewall to the carburetor and worked it by hand till I could get somewhere to tie it to the pedal. I had to drive it like that for a couple of days till the part came in. We put up silage about 3 weeks ago and we're going to snap what's left tomorrow. A lot of the big operators in this area are picking corn now, depending on the variety. Most will be through in a week or so.
