Try to keep this short. Agreed to take all hay (post the other day) from my buddy/neighbor. Just paid the roller price for the rained on stuff. Can't/won't use it myself so offered it to another neighbor (21 rolls) for 6 good ones. He couldn't use it but said that a farmer lost everything in a fire last week a few miles away and I should go to another neighbor who is a friend of the guy to get his number. Went there and the guy told me that his buddy didn't need any feed but he'd buy it from me. I made a rule last year that I wouldn't deal with this guy so decided to just put an ad in the paper. Ran into the 1st guy on the way home and told him what was said. He came by the house a little later with a phone number. I called the guy and he was glad to hearfrom me. Said I should tell his buddy what I have and make the deal with him. Told him what his buddy said and that I'd rather deal with him directly. He asked what I wanted and, figuring he was in a pinch, asked him what he wanted to pay. Said his buddy was charging him 28 bucks a roll for everything he could find for him and he'd pay me the same.
Couldn't resist, I'd just paid 150 bucks for the 21 rolls (7+/- a little ea). His buddy was going to pay me the same 7 bucks and charge him 28.
Couldn't resist the opportunity and told him that was too much, I'd give it to him for what his buddy was going to pay and he could send a few steaks now and then. Gave up some bucks but shedding a little light on a crook was priceless.........
