My Ford 4610 kept giving me trouble the last couple weeks, the rpm would just jump up and then come back to were the throttle was set.Any way it finally quit today... I took apart the fuel filter, put in a new one for good measure, however I noticed when I took the filter apart, hardly no fuel was in it,,,so I took off the line from the tank to the filter and barly a trickle of fuel came out of the bottom of the tank shut off valve. Well I took the shut off valve off and sure enought it was plugged with debris. I cleaned it,put it back on, and got it started again, and it is running fine now.
On a different topic What I would like to know is am I supposed to oil the injector pump? Under the hood it says to oil the inlet line for the injector pump! I dont know what that means. Any info thanks JayinNY
