Without seeing the trailer, I can't comment on it's construction. A few things I look for are as follows; 1. How big is the truck? Can it handle 20-30% of the trailer weight? 2. Is the fifth wheel plate mounted correctly? Should be min. 2" forward of the rear axle to distribute some of the load to the truck's front axle. 3. Condition of fifth wheel, are the jaws sloppy? Worn jaws, combines with a lite tongue weight would jerk you right off the road. 4. Does this condition occur only when braking? Check to see if all four brakes are adjusted the same, and correctly. If one side grabs first, the leverage of the long trailer would surely pull the truck around. Maybe post back with some more info. Bill
