Yes, Steve, The hydraulic pump, etc. is located in the transmission cover (under the seat). There is a metal plate on the bottom of that cover that holds in the hydraulic fluid--different from the transmission fluid. Get an I/T Manual to show your how to drain the hydraulic fluid before taking that cover off--through a pipe plug on the lift control lever side of the hydraulic cover. Also, that cover has one large gasket--put mine back with blue glue several years ago when a transmission fork broke. Getting that cover off is not too hard -- it is a bit heavy. The hydraulic pump is at the front--gear driven off the front of the transmission gears. I think you can see some of that gear through the hole where you add transmission oil.
