I had a CASE model C like that, but it had 2 fuel caps, one for the 2 gallon gas part of the tank, and one for the 15 gallon kerosene part. It was started on gas, then, when warmed up, you turned a valve to open the kerosene and shut off the gas. Before shut down you reversed the proceedure to get gas in the carb. for the next start.
