Whats the big toot about. Why would any one care if their name is on the church roster. You sound as though[ and many people do,] that having your name on the roster gets you into Heaven. No one says you cant pray for them. Or that any Church organization cannot support them. We have cleaned up our rolls in the past also, to remove those who have no personal want to attecd. If they dont care to come visit Gods house why have them on the guest list. Any one who is in school or the military are not removed but are requested to attend where they are. Reminds me of the lady who wanted her husband to have a nice church funeral. The pastor had ask him many times over the years to come to services and he always refused. Even said you couldn't drag him there. The pastor ask her why if he wouldnt be dragged in when alive, why carry him in when he's dead and cant protest.
