Thanks fellows for all the info. I never dreamnt that I would get all those responses. Will check some of them out with my pickup and trailer when I start hauling again. The most important piece of info was that I can leave my wife home to do the chores while I'm gone and not feel guilty. Really, she would sooner stay home and take care of the livestock anyway. The other thing, and really I've been thinking this for a long time now is that it would really make sense for me to get, say a '93 Freightliner and a good used 45 ft drop deck trailer. That way I could have air ride suspension, lots of power, and haul tons of old tractors, either to shows, home, or to my neighbors, so the wife don't see them. As for mileage, it probably would be better than my old '84 Chev. with 350. Yeah right Dave, try convincing the "BOSS" of this great idea. Anyway, I hope you all have a HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON!
