I have a 1985 L285 30HP that runs my 5 ft. pull type mower quite well in grass If you live on hilly land then spread the rear wheels out or strap in tight these little tractors will flip over very easy as the light. I shattered my rear PTO bearing running balers mowers ans such for several years so i don't bale with it anymore. All in all a nice little work horse around the farm, just cleaned the barn out this week 2 ft. of winter feed for the cows. Walt
