Wayne, TA stands for Torque Amplifier. It is sorta like a high-low shifter that can be used while the tractor is in motion. I think there were TA's in the IHC, AC, M&M, and even the later John Deere tractors with the quad-range transmissins had an on the go shift a little bit like the TA's. I think the Farmall tractors had TA's, and the other brands I mentioned called this shifter something else and I can't recall their names they used.
