Figured I didn't need the chains for the first 6 inch snow this winter. I fired up the 8N and backed up and out of the shed without so much as a slip. Bladed the whole yard and drive in reverse and decided to back down in front of the shed to drag out the small ammount of snow in front of the doors. Laid down the blade where I wanted her and eased off the clutch in first. Just sat there and spun. Had to back into the shed and get a run to get her back up and out. Immediately put on the chains. They will stay on all winter from now on. I have even been up into my woodlot and snaked logs without so much as a slip. Just remember that the front end doesn't have any traction. Learn to steer with your brakes, and watch out if you get sideways on a slick slope :-)

I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
