Measure the circumference of the front pulley. Then divide the circumference by 360 degrees. For example, if the circumference is 12 inches(measured with a tape measure) then divide 12 by 360 and you get .033 inches per degree. If you want 35 degrees timing, multiply .033 by 35 and you get 1.16 inches. Measure this distance from the TDC mark and draw a chalk line. Run the tractor at wide open throttle and align the new mark with the pointer.
