I don't think a kid should be driving anything around in any crowd! Period! They're young and able to walk.
This past week I went to the Clay County Fair a couple of times. For those of you who've never heard of it, the attendance is in the area of 29,000 to 35,000 people per day so it's no lightweight event. Anyway, I about got my foot run over by motorized scooters several times. The fairgrounds cover a lot of area, and I sympathize with the folks who can't walk far enough to see enjoy the events, but when they are driving those things in a shoulder-to-shoulder crowd, one sideways step by someone can lead to some black and blue toes.
I have heard that able bodied people are starting to use those scooters just because they don't care to walk. It reminds me of that song from back in the seventies, and I can't remember the name of it, where he sings about machines doing everything for us in the future. "Our legs won't have nothing to do and our arms will hang limp at our sides".Jim

After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
