Glad your son is OK. Be careful dealing with the insurance company. I suggest that you get your agent involved and possibly an attorney. Make sure you get covered for medical costs and any lost ime due to this accident.
My daughter's car was rear ended in Ohio by a guy who fell asleep at the wheel and created a 4 car chain reaction while she was at a red light. The other guy's insurance was Nationwide and we had nothing but trouble with them. They totaled my daughter's car and Nationwide kept calling me offering low-ball offers which I refused. They even went so far as to take the car from the dealership where it was at for the repair estimate without my authorization. I called my insurance company (Auto Owners) and they sent in a wrecker to get the car back. I called the police in Columbus, OH and reported the car stolen and gave them the Nationwide agent's name and number.
Finally got a settlement from my insurance company for way more than Nationwide was offering.
