When I bought my Ford 3000 3 years ago, the seller had just put a new blue deluxe seat on it. It's the kind that has arms and is spring loaded. It's a very nice and comfortable seat, but I'm thinking the manufacturer may have used a poor grade or an interior type vinyl on it.
I have been noticing lately that the seat material (vinyl/plastic) at the top of the arms and the top of the seat back are getting little cracks all over. I know from past experience, that once the cracking starts, the seats begin to deteriorate rapidly. I try to keep it in the shed most of the time, but it's still subject to a little blowing rain, dust, etc.
Does anyone know of a good protectant that could be applied to the seat material to stop or at least slow down the cracking?
I should have been putting protectant on it before now, since it may be too late to help much.
I had thought about Armor All, but didn't know how good it would be on exterior surfaces. I also wonder if Saddle Soap would work.

In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
