I've got an odd problem on my tractor and I think it's fuel related. This is an 850 ford 172 4 cyl. LPG with an Impco Model J, which I rebuilt a few years ago, using their kit. Ignition/spark seems to be fine, plugs wires, but she is skipping. I think the vaporizer has been frosting up, it had condensate on it after I ran it yesterday. Skipping seems to go away with more throttle, it does not idle, so it seems fuel related. Coolant level is full, water pump circulating through it.
Only thing I have changed on the vaporizer was the vacuum switch, vaporizer has a small diameter line to the carb, and power from the coil, seems that it opens a circuit to the fuel shut off solenoid, when it receives vacuum, the nipple broke off the switch recently, (was running poor then) so I bypassed it, with power directly to the fuel shut off solenoid from the coil.
I'm thinking it's either the vaporizer or the carb, which I would think would be clean, though I've never had it apart. Since I rebuilt the vaporizer it had run great, just wondering what you LPG guru's think, before I take one or the other off for a look, have a little disc'ng to do, and some seed to sow, tractors sometimes have a way of doing this to ya, now don't they ! LOL

But alas, my carb foiled me again, it would fire a second then flood out. After numerous dead ends for a replacement carb, I went to work fixing mine.I soldered new floats on the float arm, they came from an old motorcycle carb, replaced the packing on the throttle shaft with o-rings, cut new ga
