Tom671 said: (quoted from post at 12:23:16 09/25/09) What brand of baler are you looking for and what shape is the baler in that you can buy one for around 1300-1500?
Maybe I need to sell mine if they are going for that price.
Are you still across the big pond?
Yea, still here. You folks are telling me NH and I like the looks (small size) of a 268 I found, but it's asking price is 900 bucks, but another 5-600 for transport (or I rent a trailer big enough and take a 1400km road trip to Holland). Local dealer tells me to go with Welger or Claas for parts availability. Welgers are going the last few days from 1k for a late 50's to early 60's model to 15 or so for more modern (70-early 90's) Local guy wants 18 for a decent welger that they'll stand behind (not sure how far behind  ) . Found a claas that I like real well by the looks of the pics for 1800. Guess I'll see what the close dealer has to offer (put my hands all over them so I can get an idea of what to look for), put an ad in the papers within 60 miles or so to see what turns up, then make a decision. If I lived a couple hundred or so miles North, would be no problem. The beer in Southern Germany is better though  .
