I only sandblasted the parts I could take off. The main body got a concentrated dousing with oven cleaner. It, with a pressure washer (it was summer) stripped all the paint off. Luckily I didn't have a lot of rust to deal with. You can always use one of those needle scaler air tools on rust for thick metal.
