IF IT IS A FRESH MOTOR I WOULD RECCOMEND USING A QUART OF TRANSMISSION FLUID IN PLACE OF A QUART OF OIL. ALSO MAKE SURE YOUR VISCOSITY IS MATCHED TO THE WEATHER CONDITIONS. THE TRANNY FLUID WILL INSURE THAT NOTHING GETS STICKY UPON FIRE UP. AFTER BREAK-IN TIME CHANGE FLUID AND FILTER. IT IS ALSO VERY IMPORTANT TO RUN ENGINE I BELIEVE FOR 2 HOURS AT NORMAL OPERATING TEMPERATURE, MAKE SURE YOU KNOW THE TEMP. IT IS RUNNING AT. IF THIS IS NOT CONTROLLED BY A THERMOSTAT GUAGE THEN DRILL 4 - 1/8" HOLES IN SAID UNIT TO INSURE IT DOES NOT OVERHEAT. I WOULD BREAK IN WITH JUST WATER IN COOLING SYSTEM AND DRAIN AFTER RUNNING AND CHECKING FOR LEAKS, NOTHING WORSE THEN HAVING TO RUN AROUND A FIND A BUCKET FOR A MISS INSTALL OF SOMETHING. MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE WATER AND CONDITION TO YOUR INDIVIDUAL NEEDS. PLUS THE WATER CHANGE WILL TELL YOU IF THERE IS ANYTHING ELSE IN THE COOLANT WHICH SHOULD NOT BE THERE.
