I'm gald you are happy with the tractor.. and will put it to good use.. As you could see, I just haven't used the tractor much in the last few years.. (and the trans fuild showed it, it had to sit outside for a yr or so until we found the place we are in now.. )
Nancy, the battery box came off another 70.. I bought the box somewhere in the past 10-12 yrs... (the orginal was really bad.) I have had some/or all of the rims and tires apart.. (I don't remember which tubes are in it now..) the left rear is off the first G we ever bought.. ( must have been in 91 or 92) I think the right back might have been the tire that was on it when I bought the tractor. (can't remember if I've had it apart.) the front left tire (the two rib) has some memories... It was on my Grandfathers 70 wide front.. I can remember has a kid ride rounds cutting hay with it.. wondering why the fronts didn't match.. I think the right front might have been on it when I bought the tractor..
If you ever take that alternator off.. I'd be glad to take it back.. haha.. Justkidding.. but if I had to buy it would be in the $3-400 range... I think its off a 50-60 series JD.. (that would be the 4450-4960 series.. haha.) It's well over a 100Amp alternator..
Good Luck with the Tractor..
Bryan
