Hi IC, Welcome to your new "money pit" as it's no better than your crawler :) The slower you move a spool valve lever the slower the response to the cylinder. Some are very touchy to movement tho and a leak would allow air into the cylinder causing jerky movements. Don't rush your learning to control the movements, go slow then you'll see what does what and what it takes to get a full bucket and in a short time you'll speed up without beating you or your backhoe to death. Remember that every time you abuse your hoe it costs alot of money and time to repair it. Grease it every day of use and some of the major wear points, bucket linkage, twice a day. Dirt is lacking nothing but glue & paper to be called emery cloth or sand paper. T_Bone
