In my corner of NW KY we are about 3 or 4 weeks behind on corm my uncle who gets done 2 years out of five with corn in Sept. worked one day two weeks ago and one day last week. He has not started beans. Beans are about on schedule around here, people have left the corn and jumping around getting beans as they dry instead of getting corn done and then coming to beans. I would say corn is 1/4 done and beans ain't far behind that. One inch of rain Tuesday, another inch so far to day with more to come tonight. Going to be a long nasty fall here. While my corn and beans ain't ready they will be with a week or so of dry sunny weather. I pay neighbors to custom combine mine and I have to wait till they are done before they will do mine so here I set, chear'n them along, hope'n they can get move'n.
