I put one in my mobile home 2 years ago and love it i burn pellets cheaper than corn. What i did was remove the fire place left the mantle and i put the pipe aproxemently 10-12 inch up the original Pipe. But as where the old pipe was above your stove i bought a cap for it and cut a hole in the cap to fit the new pipe. This will stp and back draft if there would be any also you would loose a lot of air if you did not. You want to also make sure that you get return air from the bottom of your home. Make sure to install correctly or you insurance will be valid. I burn a bag a day to heat my home.
