Just had a new deep well pump installed last week. Replaced the old 18 year old pump.
Installer said, "Set the pump cutOFF pressure at 50 PSI. Keep the tank pressure at 2 PSI below the kick ON pressure." Kicks ON at 30 PSI. Tank is 28 PSI.
He is a third generation local well driller, and his 20 year old son did the complete installation by himself - well, I helped by handing him tools.
