the plugs that you describe are the same ones in my ford 951.
after considerable research one rainy afternoon, i discovered that you need to ask for glow plugs for a 1980 volkswagen jetta. they will typically be about $12 each.
they use the same cross reference number as my tractor. i'm not sure at this point what the part number is, but when i find it, i'll post it back here.
are you sure yours are bad?
i was until i saw the inital asking price at a local parts dealer. then i went to the barn with my digital meter in hand and found out it was a bad switch, and not the plugs.
