Early newGen guy,
Well, it's like this... folks that know me know that I'm (for the most part) josh'in him, and I would expect someone to do the same to me if I make a blatant misstatement..
On the other hand, random, non-researched posts like his really tick me off. Some day someone will see that in the archives and accept it as the gospel truth. That's why I feel it's IMPORTANT that misstatements be corrected. Yes, I've made LOTS of mistakes around here, and I've tried to fess up to EVERY one I've ever been "called" on.
Better to do that and have the record "corrected" than to have untrue information saved in the archives to confuse someone in the future.
Who knows, here, maybe I'm the one who's WRONG, but, before replying, I DID take nearly a half an hour to look at the parts book at jdparts.com AND dig out the shop manual to see if there WAS a version of the 7520 with live PTO. I came up empty-handed.
If someone can point out that there WAS a factory US version of the 7520 of that era WITH live PTO I'll (gladly) publicly "eat crow"!
