Hey all, I did a search for my problem before I bothered you with this question, but I could not find any info on it. I've got a 1968 Ford 3000 diesel. It's got the power steering resivwar on top of the engine under the hood. My problem started, well when I was fixing something (go figure). The power steering pump seemed to be leaking a bit, so I decided to take it apart and put new O rings in it. Well, the guy at the tractor shop apparently sold me the wrong gasket kit and when I got to some of the O rings, the new ones didn't match the old ones, so I put 2 of the old ones back in. Now when the tractor is running for 30 to 45 minutes it squirts power steering fluid out of the cap. It seems as though pressure is building up in the system, but this does not effect steering at all. Since then, I tried a new shop and they told me that there are 2 kits available. I was sold the $40 kit but he said the one I need is of course $170.00 How in the world are a few rubber O rings that much! Do you guys think that my problem is in the O rings or do you think it might be something else? Thank you very much in advance, Dale
