Thanks Guys!!!! You came through again. So far, we have been able to sell all we feed for freezer pigs, plus we'll sell whole hog sausage if we have an extra or two.
I just like to keep track of market price. If I can make a profit selling at the going rate, people feel pretty good about that. I charge a farm fresh premium to get me back in the black when the markets are below breakeven.
There's a pretty good niche market around here for individual live hogs for the freezer..... I hope we can keep it going. I have a friend runs a little old fashioned butcher shop that likes the added business too.
