I took apart a foote transaxle last summer to replace one output axle. During the proccess I removed, disassembled, cleaned, and replaced each shaft. I lucked out and it all went OK. I remember being able to check it out by putting it through all gears while open on the bench. Looks like you're going to have open it again and see what's wrong. I can't help here. The reason I posted though was to point out this. If you remove the axles, differential, spider gears, it is possible to get them back in one tooth off (and still get the case closed). This will cause binding and the case will break. You must check for free operation of the axles and differential before closing the case and again after closing the case before reinstallation. Otherwise all your work and money will be for naught. David
