Glad the boys at Valley Forge had more fortitude than you. Half of them were near naked, with little or nothing to eat in freezing tempereatures, but they hung on. Ended up whipping the British and earning their freedom, and ours.
So if it all does go south, and one day your kids or grandkids come to and ask what you did to stop it, what are you going to say? That you just gave up?
There is a way out, but it won't be easy. Then again, winning WWII wasn't easy either. No one is asking you to put you life on the line though.
