I was talking about that last night with an ex-Army friend. He said that the number of people wounded, and the fact that only one semiauto pistol was mentioned, makes the number of killed and wounded highly suspect if it truly was only one person shooting. Initial reports said the shooter had 2 handguns, one of which was a semiautomatic.
Now, I don't know how you shoot, but if you're blazing away with an handgun in each hand--as a network news illustration showed--once those first rounds are gone, you MUST put down one gun in order to reload. Even with a clip-loaded semiauto, you CANNOT change a clip with one hand. And you certainly cannot change clips with BOTH hands full of pistol.
So...while the perp was changing clips, how come nobody used that time to take out the shooter? My ex-Army buddy tells me that they were trained in 2 things when faced with a shooter and no weapon to fire back with: either find cover, or TAKE OUT THE SHOOTER.
Now,I've never served in the military, but his arguments sounded logical to me.

I tried to use an easy out but it wasn't budging and I didn't want t
