I worry about liability lately,my liability if I grant someone permission to hunt on my land.I couldn't care less about the deer and welcome my long time neighbors and a few friends to hunt.As my invited guest I'm responsible for what they do and what happens to them while they are on my property to some extent.If they get hurt or fire an errant shot that causes damage off my property I could be sued,not by the friend or neighbor,but some insurance company or a person harmed by my guest.Written permission is required for hunters on private land in my state,I think that puts the landowner at risk although I understand the reasoning behind the law.Trespassers that cut my fences and ride their four wheelers all over my place aren't on my list of worries,they can break their necks or shoot each other for all I care,I'll represent myself in court against them.
