Here im SE Iowa, a local JD Dealer offered a'68 with PS,WF,DO,new paint, 10,000hours last year for $12,000. One sold at auction in Mount Pleasant Iowa on 01/17/01 for $14,500. I have heard of prices pushing $20,000. If you can get one for the price on an 806, where are you at? Not all prices are that high. My own personal keeping track of 50-60 tractors yields an average price of $9975. That is average. At the same time my own observed average price on f806s was $6700. That was a sample of 39 tractors listed in dealer ads in Iowa. The highest asking for an 806 was less than the average asking for a 4020, let alone what the highest asking was for a 4020. I did not compare 1086s and 4440s. Someone who did,and published in Wallaces Farmer (My info is 1997) was Greg Peterson of "Pete's Auction Prices". His 1997 comparison of prices for 4430 vs 1066 was JD=$14,697 IH=$7315. (Dec 1997)

I’d probably plowed about 3000 acres (in my head anyway) by the time they found me. This is where my love for tractors started and has only gotten worse in my tender 50 yrs on this “green planet”. I’m par
