I had an "M" that would do that. Had to loosen the bolts on the starter, just loose enought to give it a shake. The starter drive was hanging up, it would pull the voltage down as you said but of course could not turn. Of course it needed a little work, but this might get you back to the house so you can make the proper repair :o) gobble
